Volunteer Code of Conduct
This code of conduct applies to all individuals who volunteer with Alert K9, including but not limited to training volunteers, trial volunteers, trial staff, and committee members. Volunteers are expected to adhere to the highest standards of behaviour to ensure a positive and respectful environment for everyone involved.

Treatment of Others

Respect: Treat all volunteers, competitors, and judges with respect and professionalism always.

Conflict Resolution: Any complaints or disagreements between volunteers should be addressed privately and not in front of competitors. Disputes should be resolved amicably and professionally.
Conduct Standards

Exemplary Behaviour: Volunteers are held to the highest standards of conduct. This includes maintaining a positive attitude, being punctual, and fulfilling assigned duties diligently.

Communication: Volunteers should communicate effectively and courteously with participants, staff, and fellow volunteers.

Reporting Violations

Observation Reporting: Volunteers witnessing any violation of this conduct, or the Participant Code of Conduct, should report their findings immediately to the Trial Chair or the Owner of Alert K9. Accurate and prompt reporting helps maintain the integrity and safety of the event.

General Conduct

Confidentiality: Volunteers must respect the confidentiality of sensitive information and discussions related to the trial and participants.

Non-Discrimination: Volunteers should promote an inclusive environment free from discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age, or any other protected characteristic.

Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for dogs and humans alike.
